Reservations & Cost

Though the title above implies that Gift of Life House offers reservations, we do NOT. Due to the nature of our guests’ medical conditions, we cannot expect them to have firm check-out dates. Consequently, we cannot guarantee a room days in advance to a new guest.

To gain admission into Gift of Life, prospective guests (patients and/or caregivers, preferably both) must first take a tour of the House.

Tours are given 7 days a week by appointment only. During the tour, we explain the House’s policies. If these policies are agreeable to the prospective guests, we will document the desired lodging dates and ask that the prospective guest call us the business day before arriving in Rochester. That is the earliest we would know if we will have an available room.

The House charges a nominal $25 per night for lodging and a $25 once-per-visit for room cleaning to help us maintain a healthy environment for our immune-suppressed guests. The cleaning fee is charged on the first night. Payments may be by cash, check, traveler’s check or credit card (VISA/Mastercard/Discover).
